At MAM PROJECTS, we prepare and submit a comprehensive Development Application (DA), which outlines your project plans in detail for council review and assessment. This process typically takes between six to nine months, during which time we remain in close communication with the relevant authorities to address any queries or additional requirements, ensuring a smooth and efficient approval process. Our proactive approach minimizes delays and ensures that your project remains on schedule.

Once your Development Application (DA) Consent is granted, the next step is obtaining a Construction Certificate (CC). The CC process involves securing several critical components, including structural engineering drawings, Sydney Water approval and stamping, payment of the long service levy, and acquiring the necessary insurance certificates. This certification is typically approved within approximately three weeks. Upon approval, construction work on your project can officially commence, ensuring that all regulatory requirements have been met and the project can proceed smoothly.

Alternatively, we can apply for a Complying Development Certificate (CDC), which streamlines the process by combining both the Development Application (DA) and Construction Certificate (CC) into a single approval. In an effort to expedite project commencement, the state government has introduced its own set of regulations. If your property is zoned as complying and meets the state’s criteria, your building proposal can be lodged directly with a certifier, bypassing the need for council approval altogether. This approach significantly accelerates the approval process, allowing construction to begin more quickly.
